This week we are talking about working dogs. I mentioned that dogs have their “original work” and because of the traits of the different breeds they have been adapted to have new jobs as well.
Modern working dogs are highly trained. Here are some of the types of working dogs we have nowadays.
These working dogs usually go through tough training in order to do their job and pass through a lot of filters to be suitable for them. If you haven’t watched “Pick of the litter” we recommend you watch it. This documentary gives full insight into what a guide dog’s process is through time and all they have to do and overcome to become one.
Although every one of these jobs is unique, they all have a process and training to be able to perform in real-life situations.
Last year we were able to attend “Dogs! A Science Tail” in California and learned so much more about dogs in general, but they include a documentary about these wonderful working dogs. For people in the USA (unfortunately we haven’t heard about this exposition anywhere else… yet) it’s a must! If you want to learn more about working dogs they show an IMAX film called “Superpower Dogs” showing some AMAZING working dogs around the world doing their job. You can check the trailer
If I’m not wrong you can also watch the documentary now on HULU. It’s suitable for everyone in the family and no dogs die!
